Are your students completing an assessment? It’s time to accept their Personal Work recommendations! Remember, accepting Personal Work recommendations is the equivalent to turning them “on”, so this is an important step before students can start working on individualized assignments!
Tip: You can accept Personal Work recommendations for all students at once. Also, you can accept Personal Work recommendations for students who finished an assessment, even when other students are still working on it! That way, no student is left idle! Neat, huh?
These differentiated lists are called Personal Work. Personal Work are distinctly separate from the assignments you manually give to students through your Assignment tab. Assignments will be manually assigned on a daily or weekly basis by the teacher, using the content located in the Curriculum tab. These assignments will be in line with your daily lesson plans and your school’s scope and sequence. Playlists will be populated according to each student’s individual strengths and weaknesses, so students will all have different playlists.
Log into your teacher account at www.tenmarks.com/login/user and select the appropriate Class from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner.
Select Work then Assessments from the menu options.
VIEW RECOMMENDATIONS (#3)
After a student has completed an assessment, TenMarks uses the student’s data to generate a personalized list of assignments based on his or her strengths and weaknesses.
You can quickly assign all students their individualized work by clicking the View Recommendations button. When you do this, a new screen will appear (see below) and you can see the different Challenge, Practice, and Review material TenMarks recommends for your students. To accept the recommendations for all students, click Add To Personal Work or Replace Personal Work.
