Assess Readiness is a quick check of whether your students know the prerequisite content that is needed to successfully complete the current Lesson.
Students can answer the Assess Readiness questions individually, or you can do a quick check as a whole class. If you are familiar with your students’ level of knowledge, you can skip Assess Readiness and decide yourself whether they have mastered the prerequisite skills. If you are uncertain or want to check again, the Assess Readiness questions allow you to quickly determine how much of the prerequisite content your students know. Depending on how students answer each question, you can either use Warm Ups to provide remediation or move on to the Focus Lessons.
