New Labs to Promote Discovery Learning
TenMarks Math has released new Labs! Available for our Comprehensive and Premium customers, TenMarks Labs are inquiry-based learning modules that help students make sense of math through trial and error, self-explanation, and discussion. Designed to jumpstart the learning of a particular concept or provide an opportunity to explore a concept in a different way, Labs promote discovery and set the stage for engagement and success with related Lessons and Assignments.
New Teacher Dashboard
TenMarks has released a new Teacher Dashboard that makes it more convenient to access the tools and data teachers need daily and recommends ways to deepen their use of TenMarks. Teachers will now see: suggestions for next steps in TenMarks, quick links to commonly used tools, and a Demo Student login. The comprehensive weekly overview of performance data will remain to help guide teachers to make informed decisions about next steps with their instruction.
Teachers asked, TenMarks listened! Now, teachers can easily model TenMarks with their classes at the click of a button. On their new Dashboard, teachers will see a button to log in as a Demo Student (see above). Clicking this button will automatically log the teacher in as the demo student who is assigned the exact same work as the actual students in the class. Teachers might use this to preview items for their own instructional planning, to build a gradual release model, or to walk through problems with the whole class or small group.
Improved Help Button
TenMarks’ Help Button is now even more helpful! Found in the lower right corner of the teacher page, this handy button provides direct access to HelpDesk Articles about features, access to our Support team, and, on some pages, a Page Assist mode. The Page Assist will provide a step-by-step walk through of that page’s functions.
