What are TenMarks Pacing Guides like for teachers?
The Pacing Guide is not meant to be rigid or overly prescriptive; rather, it suggests one logical way for concepts and skills to be developed throughout the year. Adjustments to the overall scope and sequence may be appropriate. We’ve allowed for flexibility by scheduling just 34 weeks of instruction, assignments, and assessments. You can use the Pacing Guides to make a more meaningful connection between the various components of TenMarks Math (e.g., Labs, Lessons, Assignments, Jam Sessions) and your adopted scope and sequence.
How can I use TenMarks Pacing Guides?
Each curriculum unit is organized into parts, which are further broken down into individual days (assuming a 50- to 60-minute instructional period). Selection and ordering of these components should be informed by the pace and progress of your students.
If you would like TenMarks to automatically organize your “Curriculum” tab according to the TenMarks Pacing Guide, select “Other” when prompted on the Curriculum page.
